# Context

Elevated interest rates, outdated technology, and a growing regulatory landscape create insurmountable challenges for individuals and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking loans. Developing economies struggle significantly with limited financial services and a prevailing funding deficit.

In this context SMEs and Fintech lenders find it hard to raise funding. Mostly due to limitations related to infrastructure or regulation, which ultimately prevents them from tapping institutional investors at the international level.
